Home Delayed...

Yes,it was announced today that Home will be delayed. Guess it takes a little more time
to sort it out.I'm more concerned with in game XMB and playing some decent titles
in the coming year.I really hope I can get into the closed beta.I hear they will release
some info on this.Should be interesting to see what is required.

Yeah, I've noticed that only a few people were genuinely disappointed by that announcement. I think people are starting to come to grips with the idea that it's just gonna take a while to get that service where it needs to be in order to be worth anything. I do, however, put partial blame on Kaz Hirai for the delay, as that I think he may be holding standards too high. I've talked to a few cats that are actually in that closed beta, and the word is that it's basically up to snuff now, like all the things that were promised are there but still need some polishing, and open beta stress testing. So we'll just have to see how that goes. But once again, I do think they may be holding it back a bit too long, it needs public testing, and the fall is probably not the best time for it. It may potentially miss it's mark if it gets released in the middle of the clusterfuck holiday season.

Yeah,I agree. I was hoping it was going to be released to the public around June/July.Well,hopefully they will go ahead and get in game xmb going so we have something going on. I'd rather release in a beta state and make continous updates as they go along.
